The PRIMA INDUSTRIE automation line includes 4 different systems:

1. Sheet Loading Arm

2. TowerServer

TowerServer is a highly compact and reliable automatic loading/unloading/storage system. It is a complete and independent unmanned cell, where the tower store and the handling robot have been perfectly integrated to grant the minimum footprint and the maximum production performances. TowerServer is composed of: 

• A 10 shelf tower (up to 15 shelves are optionally available), where blank and processed sheet metal stacks are stored.
• A handling robot integrated in the system equipped with both adjustable suction cups, for the operating of the different sheet sizes, and an unloading fork for the processed sheets and scrap material. The handling robot loads/unloads the sheets directly on/from the machine pallet changer.
• An integrated elevator which feeds the different tower with pallets containing blanks and unloads the pallets with the finished sheets.
• An automatic sheet-separation system and a thickness measuring device to assure that no more than one sheet is picked up at the same time. This ensures the reliability of the system also during the unmanned operations.
• A user friendly and intuitive system controller, which allows long term production schedule, remote monitoring of the production, blank and processed material management.
• Standard safety protection.

3. MiniServer

MiniServer is composed of:

• Two shelves for the support of sheet metal stacks, one for blanks, the other for finished parts.
• A handling robot integrated in the system, equipped with both adjustable suction cups, for the operating of the different sheet sizes, and an unloading fork for the processed sheets and scrap material. The handling robot loads/unloads the sheets directly on/from the machine pallet changer.
• An automatic sheet-separation system and a thickness measuring device to assure that no more than one sheet is picked up at the same time. This ensures the reliability of the system also during the unmanned operations.
• A user friendly and intuitive system controller, which allows long term production schedule and the remote monitoring of the production.
• Standard safety protection.

4. LaserServer

In its basic configuration LaserServer consists of:

• A handling robot equipped with both adjustable suction cups, for the operating of the different sheet sizes, and an unloading double-comb device for the processed sheets and scrap material.
• Two fixed tables to be used as loading and unloading stations.
• An automatic sheet-separation system and a thickness measuring device to assure that no more than one sheet is picked up at the same time. This ensures the reliability of the system also during the unmanned operations.
• A user friendly and intuitive system controller, which allows long term production schedule, remote monitoring of the production, blank and processed material management (if tower store is available).
• Standard safety protection.
